About
Tas High Country Fly Fish Tours (THCFFT) offers trout fly-fish guiding services for its Guests in the Central Highlands of Tasmania from September (Spring) through to April (Autumn).
Tasmania is world renown for large, wild brown and rainbow trout which often live in pristine wilderness waters.
THCFFT is licenced by National Parks & Wildlife Service and accredited by Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania to operate in the Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area including Western Lakes and 19 Lagoons.
Owner-proprietor (Chris Stopp) has enjoyed fly fishing in Tasmania and internationally for over 50 years. He has a passion and enthusiasm for teaching novice anglers and for sharing ideas with world champion flyfishers.
Itineraries are planned to match the prevailing weather conditions, experience of the anglers and their individual preferences.
He has a fully-appointed 4.5 metre fly-fishing boat that can assist anglers with limited mobility/disability.
Chris can provide pick-up and drop-off to Hobart Airport by arrangement and advice on accommodation options in Tasmania.
