Twin Lakes is known as one of Australia’s best privately owned fly fisheries and is located less than an hour from Hobart in the quaint township of Buckland, Tasmania.
Our two lakes are stocked with trout including, brown, rainbow, brook and tiger varieties that thrive on a natural ecosystem of insects.
We offer in-house half day & full day fly fishing guiding, teaching everything required to fly fish successfully including fly rod casting and spotting fish. Our instruction is tailored for anglers of all ages and anyone wishing to get an introduction to fly fishing will find our tuition especially beneficial.
We encourage anglers to stay in our comfortable, stylish accommodation with hotel quality beds and magnificent views of the lakes. Gourmet chef prepared meals are available upon request, featuring the finest quality Tasmanian produce that is locally sourced and cooked to perfection.

Bryan Green Owner & Main Guide
Twin Lakes is co-owned and operated by Bryan Green who purchased the property in 2016. Bryan is a passionate Tasmanian who has over 50 years’ experience fly fishing and hunting, including many years fishing in the central highland lakes and in rivers and lakes across Tasmania. He has a wealth of knowledge and is the main fishing guide and host at Twin Lakes. He also enjoys tying flies and is happy to provide anglers with fly tying demonstrations and tuition.
